Caroline qualified as a Stoma Care Nurse in 1996 and led the Stoma Care Department at St George’s NHS Healthcare Trust, the regional centre for neonates, paediatric care, secondary bowel cancer referrals, urology, trauma, and Intestinal Failure, whilst also supporting stoma care patients within local private hospitals.
More recently, Caroline has worked with a commercial stoma care company to manage a community nursing team whilst managing education for Stoma Care Nurses and working with experts within the NHS. This also involved creating a counselling service for stoma patients and arranging patient open dates and virtual events. Caroline is now the Patient and Clinical Services Director (Designate) at SecuriCare (Medical) Limited where she continues to support Stoma Care Nurses and patients.
