I do not know if I am qualified to be a member. I have a skin condition called keratosis follicularis. I have had this disease constantly since I was 11 years old and it showed up. It is constant with severe flare-ups. I was on psoriataine but it affected me physically. I have it from the soles of my feet to the top of my head. I have been disabled for 14 years. This disease is the same as psoriasis and is a brother. Because it is very rare the chance of meeting anyone is slim but psoriasis sufferers have the same problems and symptoms I do. I just want to know I'm not alone in this world and that I don't have to hide my skin from someone.
Keratosis Follicularis (KF) is a rare, gradually progressive, hereditary skin disorder. It is characterized by wart-like spots and/or broader, rough areas (papules, plaques) on the scalp, forehead, face, neck, area behind the ears, and the central torso, back and front. In addition, thickening and discoloration of the nails in association with the skin changes is a reliable sign. Some mild neurological and psychiatric symptoms are sometimes associated with KF. Keratosis follicularis is inherited as an autosomal dominant genetic trait.
