National Epilepsy Week
National Epilepsy week for 2014 is running from 18th – 24th May – and talkhealth will be doing everything we can to help raise awareness during this time.
We are very excited to be running the FIRST EVER NHS Choices Online Clinic on Epilepsy from 16-23 May & we have a fantastic panel of experts who have generously volunteered to be available during this time to answer ALL your epilepsy related questions. Have you got a question that you want answering? Take this opportunity to ask the experts for their advice – it’s free, quick and easy so please do take part! To receive an email reminder when the clinic opens or to post your question (once the clinic is open) please click here. We’re very proud to be working with SUDEP, Epilepsy Action, Epilepsy Society and Medic Alert to bring you this online clinic service.
To coincide with Epilepsy week and our online clinic we will also be running an epilepsy based twitter chat on Wednesday 21st May 12-1pmBST – do you have epilepsy or know someone that does? Are you fundraising for an epilepsy charity or just looking to raise awareness? Whatever your views we want to hear from you so join us using #talkhealth
There’s plenty of other stuff going on in May too…
Would you like the opportunity to review a natural alternative for relief from common menopause symptoms including hot flushes and night sweats? We’re looking for 15 women (not currently taking HRT) to test a product over a 3 month period – all we ask in return is that you write a short review with a rating out of 5 of how you found the product. All reviews are published on the talkhealth site! If you are interested please join our Product Review Panel here and make sure to tick “HRT replacement products” as an area that you are interested in – http://svy.mk/17csZCd
This week we’ve had some great new stories submitted by our members, which we think you will find very interesting to read. Read Karen’s story about “Coping with acne” here. Also new to talkacne is an account by Jenny, which is fascinating as she works as a medical skin camouflage practitioner which you can read here. If you’ve got a story that you’d like to share with talkhealth on any health related topic we’d love to hear from you so please do get in touch via info@talkhealthpartnership.com for more information.
Lastly – just recently launched, two great new trials for both adults and children with eczema related issues… have a look at this page to read more and to enter.
