Research from a Swedish medical university has found that babies who experience less stressful situations have fewer allergies as children.

Although the risk factors causing stress for infants is inconclusive it is thought that even a short separation from the mother could cause stress levels to increase.

Allergies in children have been increasing in the last few decades, especially in the West. These researchers believe that a combination of lifestyle and environmental factors during pregnancy and infancy are responsible.
