Insulin Dependent Diabetes Trust (IDDT)

IDDT is a registered charity that was formed in 1994 to help and support people living with diabetes and their carers. All the volunteers and trustees have somehow been affected by diabetes and so understand the needs and complications of living with diabetes, either as the patient or a carer.

We aim to raise awareness of important issues that affect diabetes patients and provide information in a non-medical language to help everyone affected by diabetes understand the condition better. We also believe that whilst diabetes needs care and attention it needn't rule your life.

Along with general information we also offer the opportunity for you to order various information leaflets and information packs and read about the latest diabetes news.

We also offer a Hospital passport which helps people with diabetes when they go into hospital by providing vital information about their diabetes and how they manage their treatment. It also enables people to include information about all their medicines, their mealtimes, diet and any allergies.
