Re: Starting a diet today to see if my eczema goes away

Hi, I followed this diet for 3 days (longest 3 days of my life  how can people live without milk and bread? ) and then stopped because my allergist prescribed a blood analysis to check if I had any food allergies. I got tested for all sorts of foods: fish, chicken, beans, lentils, wheat, milk, ...

Re: Good Cream that works!!!

After spending a lot of money on all sorts of creams, I tried the classic Nivea (blue tin) and guess what, it was better than any other cream I've ever tried. It calms the itchiness right away. I think that the fact that this cream is so thick is what makes it good for me. I actually tried it becaus...

Re: Toctino - anyone tried it? I would like to hear from yo

I had never heard of toctino... I have hand eczema as well, but I'm afraid I can't take it because of the side effects. I'm 30 and I'm currently trying to get pregnant. It looks like it's very dangerous for the fetus... so

Re: Phototherapy

Hi, Sunlight is also incredibly healing for me, especially in combination with sea water... My father-in-law also has eczema (I know too many people that have this problem) and the doctor prescribed UV light treatment. He's almost healed now... I was tempted to ask my doctor about this but I haven't...

Re: How to stop the itching at night

My pompholyx is finally better and I just wanted to share some pieces of advice: - I didn't do anything special, I just used the corticoid ointment the doctor prescribed and, as bad as corticoids are they were the only thing that helped. - The doctor also prescribed an ointment called Protopic 0.1% ...

Re: Eczema suffer 14 y/o

Hi Jason, I have hand/feet eczema, which is a different type from yours, but what you have sounds very similar to my brother's eczema (yes, it runs in the family  ). He also has it around the armpits, chest, arms and especially on the wrists. Just a few pieces of advice: - Take short showers, a...

Re: The pill and Eczema

Hi, Not sure if this will help you, but I have had eczema before, during and after using Nuvaring (vaginal ring contraceptive). Are you sure it's the pill that's causing the eczema? If you think it is, then I would try to stop using it for a while, you can also try Nuvaring which is just as effetive...

Re: How to stop the itching at night

Last night I took two pills, instead of one, of the antihistamines I was prescribed. I still woke up at 2-3 am but my sleep was so profound that I could go back to sleep very fast and didn't even get up to moisture my hands/feet. The antihistamine I take at night is used in a dosis of one pill for a...

Re: Hi, I have pompholyx or dishydrosis

Hi again, I just came back from the allergist and I got tested for several foods (blood tests), I'll have results in 10 days. I went expecting to take the patch test but she said I can't do that while I'm on antihistamines as that would affect the results, so she advised to take the patch test when ...
