Re: Vulval Lichen Planus maintenance?

So sorry to hear about your problem! It can be difficult to manage! Try Eumovate cream available over the counter when you reduce Dermovate. If this does not help ask your dermatologist if a retinoid oral medication may be suitable for you (this would need to be prescribed under a very strict superv...

Dear Siobhan, I am sorry to hear about your skin problem. Try to moisturise with Balneum PLus cream and wash with Aveeno. Ask your GP or dermatologist to prescribe Eumovate or Protopic. You may need a patch test to exclude allergic contact dermatitis. I hope this is helpful. With Best Wishes, Dr Ant...

Re: Lichen planus (and oral lichen planus)

So sorry to hear about your lichen planus! You may like to ask your GP or dermatologist to prescribe a strong steroid ointment for your skin (e.g. dermovate), protopic ointment for your skin fold areas and if needed you can have a steroid mouth wash. If this does not help powerful oral medications l...

Re: Large white spots

Dear Chana, Thank you for your question. I do not think they are hormone related. I wonder if they are folliculitis but you need a face to face consultation with your dermatologist or GP to confirm the diagnosis. You can read more about folliculitis and available treatments here: https://www.alexand...

Re: Itchy eyelid

Dear Clare, I am so sorry to hear about your eyelid! It sounds like an allergic contact dermatitis. Ask your Dermatologist or GP to consider a patch test to establish what you might be allergic too and also for Protopic ointment to get itch under control. If it is of interest there is more informati...
