Most stones are calcium oxalate and it is the oxalate that needs cutting out.
Ie avoid chocolate tea
But mainly drink lots of water

These sound like epididymal cysts
An ultrasound would be useful
there are other options like varicocele.

this is useful
Best to get it checked
The GPs are used to this and will be reassuring

Your sons should probably have a PSA test at 40-45 yrs old.
Yes they are slightly higher risk
Your husband may benefit from an MRI scan and a template biopsy to ensure he is safe for active surveillance in the longer term

There is no UK prostate cancer screening programme
GPs generally won't go looking for prostate issues
This is a good guide: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... -and-risks
and sets out the issue with pros and cons of testing

Re: Using Finasteride for BPH
Ian
the options are stop finasteride, have a redo TURP or keep going with it.
Choice based on lifestyle and side effects really.
no danger in stopping at this stage which sounds sensible and seeing how you go..

Re: Deciding on treatment

but generally prostate cancer is slow growing and active surveillance is often an option.
Men best placed for active surveillance have PSA <10 , gleason 3+3 disease and MRI showing no lesion.
