OA in my thumb
I think I have OA in my thumb base which has steadily got worse over the years. When I compare both hands whilst turning them over – face up, the skin between thumb and fingers looks so much shallower and almost looks red… What would you advise – are there any specific exercises I should do or shoul...

Lower back pain
My lower back just to the side of my spine – seems to ache either when I have done quite a bit of sport or if I have been standing around a lot – eg generally shopping where lots of stopping and starting. I have had a scan for it and the consultant said it was just general wear and tear for my age (...

Methotrexate side effects
I have PA and fibro and take Methotrexate by injection. I've been on Methotrexate for many years and have kept lowering the dose due to awful side effects. How dangerous would it be to stop it all together? As I'm so sick of the side effects. Thank you (Daisy)

Clicky joints
I've always had very clicky joints and at times (particularly my ankles) make very loud cracks - is there a chance I could get arthritis? Thanks (Moira)

Managing Pain
After suffering with pain in my knees for a few years, I was sent for an x-ray and finally diagnosed with osteoarthritis. What can I do to help manage the pain? People say that walking can help, but I find walking to cause me a lot of pain so I'm not convinced that walking will help me! I must admit...

Methotrexate
I was diagnosed with RA just over 6 months ago and was prescribed methotrexate. A month or so after, I noticed that I had a rash and some red bumps on my chest, and have continued to have rashes quite regularly. I have stopped eating certain foods and changed some of my usual products such as shampo...

Exercise/home remedies
Hi, I have recently been told that I have osteoarthritis in both of my knees (I've been in pain for a while so it's quite a relief to have a diagnosis now if I'm honest). I know that I am slightly overweight, and I am determined to lose a few pounds (especially after christmas!) as I think this will...
