Re: Prostrate check
Hi Ken I agree with Dr Webberley's comments - but, remember, we often jump to blame the prostate for urinary problems, but there are often other things to consider. Firstly, passing urine at night becomes very normal as we grow older, and most men of your age are getting up once a night, and twice a...

Re: ejaculation problems
Hi
yes, citalopram is likely to be the cause - we use this type of drug sometimes to treat men with premature ejaculation. He should discuss this side effect with his dr, and decide if the benefits of citalopram are outweighed by this side effect.

Re: erectile dysfunction
Hi I would be hopeful that ED has become a much more normal thing to talk about with your GP - it may be worth asking the receptionists if there is a GP who has an interest in Men's Health. Yes, the testosterone level is low normal but needs to be repeated through a lab, with a 9am specimen being ta...

Re: Vaguely going forward
Frustrating for you... If you have a slow flow and a dribble at the end, plus the urgency, I would combine an alpha blocker drug for the prostate, with an anti-cholinergic drug for your bladder - there is a tablet that contains both oif these, called Vesomni, and it might be worth asking your GP to ...

Re: Vaguely going forward
Steve going to the hospital to see who - a urologist? Difficult to be sure from the brief description of what is going on, but it doesn't sound too difficult for someone to advise you and hopefully start some treatment - if you have a mix of voiding symptoms (slow flow, intermittent stream, dribble ...

Re: large prostate problems
Hi Barry
I think if you are having recurrent infections and retaining this much urine, a urologist is quite likely to be recommending surgery rather than adding finasteride. You need an urgent review to discuss this.

Re: Lump on penis when erect
Does it cause any angulation of the penis when it's erect? If so, it might be a lump caused by Peyronies Disease. Or it could just be a cyst within the skin - either way, unless bothering you or increasing in size, I would not worry.

Re: Water retention in groin?
Hmmmm
v difficult to say what this is from your description - nothing springs to mind - probably worth getting it looked at if it doesn't settle over the next few days. Sorry not to be of more help!

Re: enlarged prostrate
Hi Tim sorry to hear about your experience... Quite clearly, you need further help - I would see your GP, get an up to date PSA and then ask for a referral to another urologist for a second opinion. You need to feel comfortable with your doctor so if the manner of the previous dr was not to your lik...
