Which abortion is safer according to you, medical or surgical?

I've never had an abortion but I know it is no easy decision: the potential mother is going through a tough time. Now I'd put the child up for adoption, rather than abort him/her. I was raised to be quite religious and this has stuck with me.

HOWEVER, there ARE times when abortion is a valid thing to do: like if the mother would die through child-birth and other reasons.

I certainly won't stand on my soapbox, BUT I would stick with adoption, if possible.
