Re: heavy bleeding and blood clots

Hello there,

Thank you for your post. I am sorry you are having so much trouble. I can really appreciate how worrying this must be.

My first question to you would be how long have you been suffering with heavy bleeding for? Heavy bleeding can occur with pain, however you mention that you are in pain when clots come out? And this happens even when you are not on your period?

Many women do experience clots during their heavier days of their period. Since you are experiencing clotting on days when you are not bleeding I really would recommended a review with the Doctor. I appreciate you have already been to see someone, however because you are still worried I really would prefer you get another appointment to have a look at what is causing this.

If you really do not want to go back to the GP, you could visit your local contraception and sexual health clinic who may be able to advise you further. To find your local clinic, search for sexual health 'services near you' on the http://www.nhs.uk website. The clinics offer drop in, confidential appointments and may offer some peace of mind.

Without knowing more I really do think you are best off seeing your Doctor though. I really hope you get to the bottom of your problem.

Kind regards

Justine
