Types of counselling for stress and anxiety
The preferred type of counselling by the NHS seems to be CBT but having attended sessions myself for stress and anxiety I have concluded it is not for me. Are there any other formats that are worth investigating either on a one to one basis or in a group?

Hi,
CBT is good but as you have found out its not right for everyone.
Take a look on the British Counselling website www.bacp.co.uk for a counsellor close to you who specialises in stress and anxiety.
Also go back to your GP and tell them how you feel and see what else they can suggest or who else they can refer you to. There may be groups in your area you can join.
I hope you soon find the right thing for you.
Best wishes.
