Re: Overweight and back pain
Well overweight is the major issue having pain in lower part of the body as whole body exerts pressure on back lower limb and the joints and knees. To overcome the weight loss issue you can use Orlistat regularly for 3 to 6 months.

Re: Overweight and back pain
Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor (A). Using both hands, pull up one knee and press it to your chest (B). Hold for 15 to 30 seconds. Return to the starting position (A) and repeat with the opposite leg (C). Return to the starting position and then repeat with both legs at the same time (D). Repeat each stretch two to three times — preferably once in the morning and once at night.

Take it easy. Do brisk walking and other exercises that won't pound your back and joints, until you've lost about 10-30 pounds. Yes. Weight can cause back pain.

Re: Overweight and back pain
I am a bit overweight myself though I have lost about 15 lbs so far. I have back pain too... has any one tried yoga as a way of getting some relief.
I found an article here: http://9nl.es/1w81
I thought before I give it a try I would see if anyone else has given it a shot.
Any thoughts,
BQ

Re: Overweight and back pain
Regular exercise and morning walk is the one solution for both the problems.
Re: Overweight and back pain
Overweight is one of the common reason for back pain. Few daily habits can relieve your back pain such as doing regular exercise, proper sitting & sleeping posture, using the good spine mattress, avoid lifting heavy bags & other things, physiotherapy, Yoga etc.

Re: Overweight and back pain
Legs and knees are significantly impacted by being overweight. Legs supported by knees will balance the body's load. Therefore, losing weight might lessen pain.
