Kidney Stones
I’ve been having kidney stones (calcium) from the last 30 years, every 5-8 years. My latest attacks were in April and May. I read to prevent this type of stones you have to intake Magnesium=+ B6. I am not sure if is a reliable advice.
I am really surprise my GP didn’t referred me to the urologist for a follow up .
I passed the stone 0.5mm diameter but I still feel my kidneys sore. Apart of drinking 2-3 litres of water daily, could you give me any other advise .
I’m not a heavy drinker, quite healthy diet and not overweight. High blood pressure under treatment.
In the last scan I had to confirm I passed the stone, was found an incidentaloma in my adrenal gland. I have an appointment with the endocrinologist in December.
Any advice will be welcome.
May thanks
Irene

Re: Kidney Stones
It sounds like you should be referred to a urology centre that has a stone specialist
We would do a 24 hour urine collection to try and see why you form stones and send an actual stone for analysis to see what it is made of.
There are a few types of calcium stones- oxalate, phosphate.
The main dietary thing is 3 litres of water a day- best with lemon juice added
low protein diet as protein is broken down and filtered by the kidney
Incidentalomas are usually left alone luckily.
