Skin Cancer Question
I have a seborrheic keratosis on my lower leg/ankle, and a lot of moles and warts around my neck and on my back. Can I treat them all with Wartner to freeze them off? Could this do any harm?
Thanks,
Sue

Re: Skin Cancer Question
Dear Sue,
Many thanks for your question. I don't think it would be a good idea for anyone to self treat skin lesions with wartner. It should only be used for warts. The risk of missing a malignant lesion and still worse treating it with a wartner, will just delay the diagnosis and make matters worse. There is also a risk of blistering and scarring which needs consideration.
Kind regards,
Vishal

Re: Skin Cancer Question
I would agree with Vishal, be careful with these over the counter medications as they can cause scars.

Re: Skin Cancer Question
Dear Sue,
Many thanks for your question. Wartner should only be used for viral warts. It is important to get an accurate diagnosis before having the lesion removed, particularly if you have multiple moles. There are ways to remove seborrhoeic keratoses without leaving scarring or pigmentation and I would suggest seeing a dermatologic surgeon to discuss the options (and to accurately diagnose the lesion).
