Varicose Eczema

Hello

I would like to know how I can improve the skin conditions on the front of my leg near my ankle as I have varicose eczema.

I used makeup but this is not effective and would like to know if something has been found that is better than makeup please.

Regards

Re: Varicose Eczema

Thank you for your query about varicose eczema. To keep it under control, I would recommend washing the area daily with a non soap product like dermol 500 and applying a gentle moisturiser to help protect the skin and prevent flare ups.
You may be referring to pigmentation/darker skin patches caused by varicose veins, this is called haemosiderin deposition, to prevent further pigmentation compression support stockings or varicose vein treatment may be required. There are no truly effective creams to remove the darker staining but laser can sometimes be helpful.
