food intolerance
Hello,
I was wondering if the following symptoms could indicate an intolerance to a food, and if so the best way to find out what is causing them? I have them, not all the time, but from time to time for short periods.
Itchy ears
Increase in ear wax
Increase in mucus in my throat & nose
Increased gas
Very smelly gas
I would appreciate your feedback,
Many thanks,
Elaine

Re: food intolerance
Hi
None of these are typical and certainly it would only be the gas related symtpoms. A sensible approach would be to keep a diary of what you eat and when you have the symptom and look to see if there is a pattern. With intermitent symptoms there is not much else to try although bear in mind that the most common food intolernace cause would be lactose intolerance. A brief trial of cutting out lactose may be useful (see lactoseintolerant.co.uk).
