Varicocele problems

Varicocele problems
I’ve had a varicocele most of my adult life. Never had a problem with fertility. Now over the past 2 months at the age of 45 I have noticed a decrease in sexual drive and premature ejaculation problems. Can’t I’ve never really lasted a longtime in bed on a regular basis but never has been this bad. I’ve read that varicoceles can cause this problem. It is causing me a lot of anxiety and depression with in turn is affecting my marriage. I have been dealing with anxiety and depression outside of the sexual situation so I’m sure that this is adding to it. Just the thought of having sex with my wife in the past has always given me great erections and it’s just not there anymore. Thanks.

Re: Varicocele problems
Hi dsav7573,
Thank you for posting on the forum and sorry to hear about your current sexual situation. You haven't mentioned whether you have already visited your GP about this? Sadly, we are unable to give out specific medical advice, but would urge you to seek out the opinion of your GP in the first instance. They can then assess the situation and whether its related to your varicocele or perhaps refer you to a Sexual Therapist who will be able to explore possible causes if it is a psychological matter. You mentioned you are already dealing with anxiety and depression anyway, so that will no doubt be contributing to your lowered libido.
