Is this eczema?

Hi, I've developed a patch of strange skin below my knee about a week and a bit ago. It started as a few small red bumps but has since grown. It is itchy and also painful and stings if I try to moisturise it. I know I need to see a GP but am struggling to get an appointment for a few weeks. If anyone has any thoughts on what this could be I would be so grateful, thanks

Re: Is this eczema?

Hi! Hope it's better now.. not a dermatologist, just a mom of eczema child.. my take is if you haven't had eczema or any allergic history, it may not be atopic eczema. It actually looks like some kind of rash to an insect bite.. maybe get an anti-inflammatory cream from pharmacy? May contain some mild corticosteroid, but if it's just isolated use for one week, should be ok.. hope all's better soon!
