Im new here

Hello I am new here and just found this site . I am very excited to maybe get some support dealing with my eczema . My name is Amy and I am 35 years old . I have bad Eczema and the flair ups are very bad and has been for a while . Im sure alot of this is due to stress (just got a divorce ) but I have had this even before that . I have Eczema on my hands, arms, scalp, wrist, face. and wwll just about everywhere. I have tried everything from going to Dr, changing bedding, laundry , no perfumes , soaps . After spending hundreds of dollars on creams , shots and medicine Im still do not have it under control . Sad part is now that I am divorced I dont have insurance . Kinda scared what I am now having to do to cope with it all . My hands and wrist are so flaired up ir looks like I have burns . It is controling my life . I dont like to go out much unless im covered with long sleeve shirts . It iches so bad all i do is put special lotion on it and pray . It hurts really bad . I am always putting lotion on to help it not be so dry . the steriods never did help much and the Dr even had me wrapping my hands and arms at night with quaze. When my fave swells it looks like i got beat up . My kids are scared cause well it doesnt look to good . Ill end my story hoping maybe I learn something new from here and finding support with people that have same issues . Thank you

Re: Im new here

Hi Amylou,

sorry to hear that your eczema is so bad and not getting much help from the docs. Did the wet wrap help? I can think of cleaning the skin with chlorhexidine (cos that worked for my girl) and also minimizing the products you use. Can try to just one product and slowly figure it out from there. A patch test can give you some idea on what your skin is allergic to.

Take care,
Mei
