Eczema all over my body

I'm 16 and have been born with really bad eczema. I have it all over my body, I'm covered. The worse is on my face...it's so embarrassing. I have it under my nose and on my chin&forehead. I use loads of different creams, such as: aqueous, fucidin, fucibet, ultra base and lots more but never seems to cure it, they all just moisturise them for a bit. I get them all on prescription. Is there any creams that might be able to cure it on my face because that's all I'm really worried about? I get bullied for it and everything.

Re: Eczema all over my body

Hi,

Sorry to hear that.. as the face is thinner, I think dermatologist do prescribe topical calcineurin inhibitor creams which are non-steroidal and can be used as a maintenance treatment. Do check with your doctor. There's some controversy on aqueous cream, may want to explore a moisturizer without top irritant ingredients such as fragrance, preservatives, lanolin, propylene glycol, parabens... an interview with a dermatologist who kindly provided the alternative names of above. http://eczemablues.com/2012/02/sensitiv ... -to-avoid/

Do also check on the potency of the steroid creams that you're using.. Fucibet's active steroid ingredient is Betamethasone valerate, if yours is an 0.1% ointment, then it is high potency, review the potency first

I do hope you can find the right dermatologist to help you, including checking for allergies and what ingredient in lotion you're sensitive to. Take care,
