Re: HPV & Vaccination
Hi,
HPV is a very common infection. Most women get the virus at some time in their life. In most cases it does not need treatment and the body will clear it on its own.
A test is only useful if a regular smear test shows some anomalies to determine whether further tests or treatments are necessary. If you don't have any symptoms (warts or abnormal smear test results) then it does not make sense to do a test because even a negative result would not really rule out an existing infection.
