unemptied bowel and staining?
hi, i am 36yr old. I open my bowels pretty much every morning although I never feel that I have emptied completely. I also notice that every time I wipe through the day I have faeces on the tissue and sometimes in my knickers, so much so that I have to wear panty liners most days. I shower and clean myself every day after I have been to the toilet so know that I am clean. its not like a diarrhea, more like when you wipe yourself just after you have been the toilet. I have endometriosis and a recent mri scan shows that I have adhesions on my bowel (although it is not known to what extent). I have tried colonic irrigation a couple of times in the past but even they struggle to clear me completely. I wonder if it is possible I could be very impacted as I have always had issues with my bowels, or whether it is related to the endometriosis? I couldn't afford to keep going back for colonic irrigations and also they made me feel quite nauseas when it got to a blocked bit. I am just worried and also very embarrassed by the continual 'dirtyness' I feel. Please help!!!! Any advice welcome

Hi
I would strongly advise against colonic irrigation if you have adhesions. Endometriosis can be a cause of abdominal adhesions. Perhaps a discussion with your hospitals continence service would be helpful, usually you can self refer. Also I would go back to see your healthcare provider and discuss your symptoms. If your adhesions are affecting your small bowel and causing narrowing and pain you might need a low fibre diet, but I would advise you to ask your GP for a referral to a dietitian and not trying anything yourself, if you don't know where the adhesions are.
