What is COPD? What are the different types of COPD?
COPD is an amalgam of two 2 lung disorders, one, being the emphysema and the other being the chronic bronchitis and both graver than each other. So, what are the possible symptoms of the disease? Cigarette smoking may cause the passage of the lungs to narrow due to the swelling of the air tubes.
COPD tends to severely affect the lungs. During COPD, the airways of the lungs may be narrowed and inflamed making them collapse every time the patient exhales. Further, the lungs may even clog up with mucous.
An Asthma Specialist could refer to a wide range of doctors who specialise in treating Asthma and other related lung disorders. Here are some of the specialists you might need to refer to during the course of your treatment.
1. Allergist
2. Internist
3. Pulmonologist
Once you have considered each of these points carefully, schedule a preliminary visit. Above all other factors, the most important is the patient should feel absolutely comfortable with the Asthma Specialist. If for whatever reason the patient does not feel at ease with the doctor then begin looking for alternatives at once. Sometimes it can take time to find the right doctors but with a little perseverance and thoughtful consideration you can find great asthma specialists who will treat the condition with the all the necessary expertise.
