Re: high pressure corporate culture

It is certainly true in today's workplace that there is enormous pressure to deliver to the bottom line, this frequently translates into unmanageable workloads, unrealistic deadlines, a more assertive management style and long working hours. Obviously, employers have a legal duty of care to look after the health and wellbeing of their staff, which means they need to identify where there are problems in the organisation and deal with them. Senior management can create a less stressed and more productive culture, where individuals can flourish, which in the end will mean a more productive as well as a more healthy work environment.
