moles

I have had a cancerous mole removed before does this make me more likely to suffer with another?

Re: moles

Dear Moosmailes,

thank you for your question. I am afraid yes: if you had a cancerous mole removed you are more likely to have another one in future. Therefore you should be extra careful. We recommend good sun-protection (avoid mid day sun, use sunscreen with SFP50, use protective clothes such as long skirts and trousers, long sleeved shirts, broad brimmed hats and so on), self examination of your skin monthly and a check of your skin by a doctor every 6 month (sometimes more often depending of when and what cancerous mole was removed).

I hope this is helpful.
With best wishes,
