Staphylococcus / Impetigo

My daughter has had a bacterial infection on her face for 3 months which just doesn't seem to respond to any treatment to date (creams, nasal spray, certain antibiotics). Has anyone had this experience and what worked to get rid of the infection? We are looking to go privately and if anyone could recommend the name of a consultant who specialises in this type of infection in the UK, Ireland or further afield then we would be grateful to know their name and how we can contact them. Thanks.
