Steroid injection

I have recently visited my doctor regarding an itchy scar and they have recommended I have a steroid injection and explained this may or may not work and if it does there isn't a time frame given to how long it will help for. Do you recommend I go ahead?

Some patients respond to the treatment quite well and some may respond slow or not at all. It is worth trying for few sessions and observe any changes following your treatment. You can then decide whether to continue with your treatment as planned.
