Vitiligo on my face

I've had vitiligo for ten years. It's around my eyes, lips, chin, arms and legs. I struggle to find a sun lotion which stops my skin burning. Can you please tell me what would be the best one to use? Is it worth taking vitamin D supplements? Many thanks :)

Re: Vitiligo on my face

Many thanks for taking the time to post a question.

If your skin is sensitive to sunscreens you might find that using mineral-based products are better for you. Look for sunscreens that contain the ingredients titanium or zinc. If you are rigorous about your sun protection there is a chance you may be low in vitamin D. Trying to incorporate this into your diet would be the best option (e.g foods such as cheese, egg yolks, fatty fish); you could also consider taking a supplement in the winter months.
