Psoriasis of the scalp

I have been suffering with this complaint for the last 3 years.I have been prescribed numerous shampoos and ointments none of which really help. I feel like I have lots of extra layers of skin forming on my scalp and have numerous lumps which if I scratch eventually bleed. I've been trying etrivex recently which eased it temporarily but still have continued irritation.
Can anybody suggest anything.Any help would be awesome

Re: Psoriasis of the scalp

Preparations containing coal tar, coconut oil, salicylic acid and or strong steroids can help. If none of these help then some hospitals offer outpatient pomade treatment. Some patients need to go on to phototherapy or even oral treatment. Your GP or dermatologist can advise if you migh be suitable for this
