Using Finasteride for BPH
I have BPH and had a TURPS op a few years ago. Some considerable time after the op, I started to see blood in my urine, usually following ejaculation. My Urologist did an examination under general anaesthesia, reassured me that there was no serious problem and put me on Finasteride. This stopped any bleeding but the medication has side effects such as softer erections and weaker sensations on ejaculation. Since the TURPS, while I now have retrograde ejaculation, urine flow has been OK. Would it be advisable to continue with the Finasteride in spite of the side-effects?

the options are stop finasteride, have a redo TURP or keep going with it.
Choice based on lifestyle and side effects really.
no danger in stopping at this stage which sounds sensible and seeing how you go..
