Prostate issues
On behalf of guest:
On a slightly personal note, I have question regarding my prostate. As a 49 yr old male, I would like to know if my prostate is starting to cause a problem due to lack of regular sex or am I predisposed. At this point, I have a very difficult time urinating completely without feeling like there is blockage. At times it feels as though I still need to go. Nothing else is affected.

Re: Prostate issues
Hello
the prostate size and condition may be changing at your age and can have a knock on effect on urination.
I would advise you consult your GP re a blood test if you are concerned re your symptoms.
Alongside this I would advise an adequate fluid intake ie around 1.5 litres avoiding caffeine, avoid constipation as this may affect how well you empty your bladder, try to sit down to pass urine as this sometimes help urinary symptoms in men as complete emptying is encouraged by relaxation of the bladder and pelvic floor muscles.
Hope this helps
