skin cancer/moles
Hello,
Please can you tell me what you have to look out for if you're concerned about a mole that you have on your body? For instance, shape, or size, anything like that?
Thank you
Tina.

Hi Tina,
Great question.
You are absolutely right. When it comes to a mole that may be worrying, the signs to look out for include change in size, shape or colour. These factors fall within the major criteria for diagnosing melanoma. The other features we look for include itching, pain, change in sensation and bleeding. If you are unsure about a mole, it's always best to have it checked out with your GP or a dermatologist.
Early diagnosis leads to better patient outcomes. If in doubt, have it checked out!
All the best!
