I have been suffering a horrible burning rash for several months. even where i dont have a rash my skin looks sunburn it is so red and inflamed, tender and dry. at night time i get disgusting sensations, waves of hot and cold and nausea through my body and then relentless itching. I also have enlarged non-tender lymph nodes throughout my body. I have seen seven different doctors/specialist and also have had a lymph node biopsy. The only abnomal findings have been an allergy to nickel and my lymph node was full of tattoo pigment. They are unsure of why I have tattoo pigment in lymph bu I know that nickel is in tattoo ink. Anyhow...they dont know if this is my problem or what to do about it. I have minimal contact with nickel. it is not in my clothing buttons or bra that i have been wearing.
Has anyone with nickel allergy had full skin reaction like this?
Has anyone had systemic response to contact allergy?
Has anyone had enlarged lymph nodes throughout there body from a contact allergy?

it has been since may and i am just about at the end of my rope.

My daughther Alice has a nickel allergy - she had her ears pierced with titanium earrings and her ears healed quickly - but when we put some silver earrings in she had a terrible reaction and infection. We've spent weeks trying to bathe the infection away so we can get the earrings out with the minimal stress to her. I have some new titanium earrings to put in. Behind her ear there is a lump and having read your story I'm wondering if it's what you describe .... I plan to investigate further. I see your post was a few weeks ago - how are things now? I have had a nickel allergy since I was little and have avoided it on my body, but only just recently discovered that my weight problem, migraines and two swollen lymph nodes, along with non localized itching fits is due to chronic dietary nickel exposure. I have just started a low nickel diet, and I can already see a reduction in acid reflux and the itching has reduced. It has only been maybe 2 weeks. Like you, I would get heat rashes also and didn't know the cause. Turns out nearly all of my favorite foods contain nickel. It is pervasive and very difficult to avoid entirely but I aim to reduce my exposure as much as possible.

I also have a nickel allergy, and my swollen lymph is also just behind and slightly below my right ear. I also have a larger one at my waist near the spine. I am hoping a low nickel diet will help with this.
