Best way to combat post-workout acne flare-ups?

Hey everyone. I've been focusing a lot on my physical and mental health this year, which has involved new coping strategies, hobbies, and a newfound love of the gym. I've gone from 'never ever will I ever' to attending multiple group fitness classes a week which has been great for my physical health, but not so much my skin!

Despite my best efforts, I'm seeing flare-ups in areas across my face ranging from minor to annoying. I've tried a few off-the-shelf skin washes etc but they haven't really helped. Maybe I'm using the wrongs ones? Anyways, I'd love to hear from any fellow exercisers or gym goers as to how they combat those post-gym acne flare-ups. Thanks!

Thank you for your recent post. Sorry to read that you are experiencing acne flare-ups as a side issue to exercise.

Flare-ups and side effects of acne are similar to rosacea. There is a video that may help with some hints and tips from one of the top dermatologists. It's about rosacea but it talks about exercise and flushing/redness. You can watch the video via this link - - Dr Bewley, a Consultant Dermatologist, talks about exercise about halfway through the video.

Also, there is a video specifically about acne that may help with a lady called Amy and also Dr Sharon Wong, a Consultant Dermatologist
