Dr Aza Abdulla
Dr Abdulla is a consultant physician and geriatrician at the Princess Royal University Hospital, Kings College Foundation Trust. He has a special interest in Epilepsy in Older People and founded the Epilepsy Special Interest Group in the British Geriatrics Society increasing awareness to this significant problem in our ageing population. Aza participated in the production of the recent NICE guidelines on Epilepsy, and has published and widely presented on epilepsy in old age at different platforms. He is an advisor to Epilepsy Action. He is also council member and current president elect of the Geriatrics & Gerontology Section at the Royal Society of Medicine.
Aza is committed to teaching & education. He has a broad educational profile as an examiner & question writer for the Royal College of Physicians. He has written several book chapters and his recent publication is a Book on Biology of Ageing & it's Clinical Implications aimed as a training handbook for professionals with an interest in Older People.
