Dr Emma Kirk

Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist - BSc, MBBS, MRCOG, MD

Emma is a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Royal Free Hospital London. She is the clinical lead for Early Pregnancy and Emergency Gynaecology. She qualified from St George’s Hospital, University of London where she also returned to do her postgraduate research degree.

She has a special interest in Early Pregnancy and Gynaecological Ultrasound. This means that she is able to offer her patients the highest quality ultrasound examinations during their consultation. She has worked as a research fellow for many years and has published extensively on many different areas of early pregnancy. She has recently published a book on Ultrasound.

She holds a number of positions such as Coordinator of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology Special Interest Group in Early Pregnancy, Executive Member of the Association of Early Pregnancy Units and is a medical advisor to the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust. She frequently lectures on different aspects of emergency gynaecology and early pregnancy.
