Tracy Corbett

Chartered Physiotherapist

Tracy qualified in 2006 from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, with a BSc Hons (Physiotherapy). She did her Community Service year in the Out-Patient clinics around Northern Johannesburg and Halfway House in 2007. In addition to her Physiotherapy degree, Tracy has completed her Sports Physiotherapy Level I post-graduate course in South Africa (SPT), dry needling courses, lower limb biomechanics analysis courses and is a qualified Kinesiotape practitioner.

She has worked in two family-oriented private practices in Johannesburg dealing with a wide variety of conditions including injured triathletes, cyclists, long-distance runners. In 2010 she worked with a team of physiotherapists on a Neurosurgery ward treating and rehabilitating patients after neck and back surgeries. She ran regular Physiotherapy-Based Back Pain Classes in Johannesburg for two years. Most of Tracy's experience to date has been in general musculoskeletal injury and sports physiotherapy practices. This has included treating children who had suffered sports injury, and rehabilitating them back to their favourite sport. Tracy has a particular interest in running, having worked with ultramarathon runners in South Africa. She also has an interest in swimming and cycling injuries.

Tracy has worked as part of teams treating cyclists at the 94.7 Road Race in Johannesburg, and runners at the Randburg Athletics Club races. She has two small boys who are mad about cricket and football.
