talkhealth Twitter chats

From time to time, we will be on Twitter to talk about a specific topical health issue (# announced at the time of the Twitter chat), and quite often these will be around the subject of our Online Clinics. Look out for our tweets during the month to find out what the next topic up for discussion is. And if you would like to propose a topic please email us directly.

HOW TO TAKE PART

If you'd like to join in the conversation and have your say, here's what you need to do ...

PREVIOUS TWITTER CHATS

How to find out what’s going on

  • You can follow the chat from your own timeline on the Twitter web site, but if it’s a large and busy chat it is easy to lose the thread of the conversation. There are a number of sites that allow you to follow a Twitter chat of your choice which can make it easier for you to participate.

    Tweetchat.com
    Twitterfall.com
    TweetGrid.com
    Twubs.com

  • If you use Tweetdeck or Hootsuite, you can add a column, via a search for the announced # in the search window in order to follow the conversation.

     How to take part

  • Take a few minutes to read and scan some of the tweets around the announced # tag.
  • As with all Twitter activity, feel free to share tweets from within the chat with your network of Twitter followers by re-tweeting tweets and re-tweeting with comments. Don’t forget to use the announced # tag so others can see your comments & join the Twitter chat.
  • If you ask a question or respond to someone in the announced # chat, make sure you use the hashtag so everyone can be in on the conversation.
  • Make sure each time you use the announced # tag you stay on topic.
  • Please don't use our Tweet chat streams to market your own product or services.
  • We will tweet about the chat several days in advance. You might also want to let people know you’ll be participating in a talkhealth chat in advance, so please feel free to retweet talkhealth tweets and tweet about the chat yourself.
