myrosacea support programme
myrosacea provides 24 weeks of dedicated information, sent to you by email in bite-size chunks. Every week there is a PDF for you to download or print containing practical information about how to manage rosacea, written by talkhealth and medical experts.
Rosacea is a common but poorly understood condition. Severity of symptoms can vary from person to person from a mild inconvenience to a life altering condition. Some of these symptoms include facial redness or flushing, a burning or stinging sensation on the skin, red bumps, spots, skin dryness, plaques (raised red patches of skin), and swelling or thickening of the skin. Many people with rosacea also struggle with the psychological impact of the condition.
Some of the topics the programme covers include:
- Symptoms & treatments
- Skincare routine
- Patient stories and hints & tips
- Rosacea triggers
- Camouflage make-up
- Emotional impact and much more!
Great programme it helps you to understand rosacea a lot better, it informs you of treatments available, what to discuss and how to discuss rosacea with your GP and lots of other information that people like myself with rosacea were not aware of.
It is very good to know that there are people willing and able to help you.
Such comprehensive informative and gives me confidence that my symptoms will get better.
This programme helped me feel less alone, helped me understand triggers and feel confident enough to finally speak to my GP.
A program which helps and gives good advice.
It helped me to understand more about my skin, and how to deal with problems, it also gave me confidence in knowing that I am not alone with this problem and that there is a lot of help available if you look for it
It was so helpful I would recommend to other people as it gives lots of information the would help you on your journey.
Very good and informative.
Supportive and helpful.
It was useful to get information about triggers and how to mitigate the effects of the problem, particularly in using camouflage make up techniques.
This program was very informative and helpful on so many levels. I find the information and hints and giving were very useful to me in my day-to-day management of my skin condition it also helped not only with the physical aspects but also the mental and psychological issues that arise as a result of having this condition.
Before the programme my knowledge of rosacea was limited and my confidence was low. My flares were constant. Since the programme my knowledge and confidence has greatly improved and I am hopeful that I can get my rosacea under a more manageabkle situation.
Having rosacea I was very self conscious about the look of my face and people making remarks: "You've been drinking a lot", "You really should use sun cream when out in the sun", "What's happened to your nose". I would hide with loads of make up which I discovered was making it worse. Now I stick to very limited make up that is fragrance free, cut down on caffeine, don't eat spicy food and thoroughly enjoy going out and being more confident. If it had not been for this programme I'm sure I would still be self conscious about myself, would not go out as much as I do now and have the courage to go to my GP and discuss my problem. I would recommend anyone with this condition to have followed this programme, it certainly made me feel a lot better about myself. Thank you.
I have learnt how to live and stay positive even when I have had some flare up symptoms just by eating the right foods, getting advice, ideas and tips from other people who have suffered or still suffering from this condition. Keeping a diary of my day to day both good and bad days of how I feel and trying to ensure I stick with a more healthy diet and keep active too. Overall, it has made quite a difference now as I feel a bit more confident and just get on with my life no matter what. Keeping a positive mind and with motivation, I know it will get even better for me too.
I found this programme extremely helpful, I have spoken to my GP on 2 occasions and was given medication. Neither of them worked very well and I felt like the GP didn't take my rosacea seriously so I never went back. This programme has helped me with new things to try which in fact reduces the redness, the triggers are still there but when it flares up I'm more confident that I'm not bright red. Thank you.
